Our Very Own Little Zombie...

It started about two weeks ago - the little man creeping into our room around 2 am.  The first night I let it slide, there was thunder about and I was exhausted.  The next night was normal - a little boy in his bed until morning light.  Then while having some girl time on the couch with a glass of wine and a bestie I saw him open his door, walk around, then go to my bedroom and try to sleep with the dog on the floor.  I picked him up and saw he was asleep.  I laid him back in his bed and closed the door.  Over the last two weeks this has become more frequent.  So I called the pediatrician and he said not to worry, it's just a phase and gave me tips on keeping my little zombie safe.

A little zombie just as the sun comes up :)

The site kidshealth.org gives lots of insight into sleepwalking and that it includes night terrors - which we've been dealing with again lately (we have had several phases of night terrors).  Monsters.  He always says his bad dreams are about monsters.  Letting him fall asleep with a flashlight to ward off monsters the last few nights has seemed to help.  And it seems to be keeping him in his bed.

Last night was rough though, lots of up and down and lots of just plain whining and I'm hoping that was just our fault for playing outside until the sun went down and putting an overtired boy to bed a little later than normal!

Do you have a sleepwalker?  A little one with night terrors?  How do you handle it?
