iComfort Review.... 120 Days Later...

It was time to get a new bed, like we should have gotten one five years ago when we got married time.  It took us months, quite literally to do enough research to even set foot in a mattress store (we're nerds like that).  Besides, a good chunk of our lives are spent sleeping and I was going to be comfy.  When we started going to stores and awkwardly laying on unmade beds with plastic pillow covers on our lunch hour we quickly fell in love with the Serta iComfort.

But we were very hesitant - it was the money.  This mattress is an investment, plain and simple.  But we also depend on the physical strength of the Husband to bring home a paycheck and anything that improves the health of his body and keeps him well rested is a win for us.  After much penny saving and working extra so we could pay cash along with deliberation on which would be the right model and searching for sales and deals, we had an iComfort Prodigy delivered and set up.

Now that the 120 day in home test drive is over let me just say, worth.every.single.penny.  We have zero regrets about the money spent, there are no more morning back aches and no more waking up at night because you just can't get comfy (toddler sleep disruptions are another issue).  Even better - the jumbo thread count sheets the hubby gifted me with to go on the new bed.  Again, it's an investment but one we are happy with and would reccomend to others.  The only problem I have now is to pick out new bedding and a bed - we went up a size to a queen and this may take longer than picking a mattress!

A half made Saturday morning iComfort... I'm thinking an upholstered bed....

Positives:
Washable cover
Dust & antimicrobial resistant
Cool action
Comfy but supportive
Re-enforced edges - you can sit on the side of the bed and not sink or slide off
25 year warranty
120 Day in home trial (very uncommon for NC)

Negatives:
Price
One seriously heavy mattress (well over 100 lbs)
