Change is coming...

Thanksgiving is here.  I've got tons of sewing to do, decorations that have to be hung, and even more cooking and baking to do.  On top of the Holidays, there have been so many things going on with Alan's job.  Who knew a sportfishing boat and business could sell so quickly (really - in this economy).  I think it means lots of changes are in store for us - and our prayer is that those changes are ones that will better us.  It's scary though, and it is so much more difficult on us that it had to happen at this time of year - something about a big job change and the uncertainty that brings is magnified by ten million when you put Christmas in the mix.  We have had so many "what if this" or "what if that" discussions lately - and those are really just to make ourselves feel better.  Hopefully we'll have many more answers soon, and we're thankful that the head honchos involved do seem to be looking out for Alan's best interest - but change is coming our way... and we pray it's for the best.  And until we have more answers we'll continue to hang tight and love on this little guy...

I'm so happy it's Friday...

You see that sweet face?  All he wanted this morning was his Momma - problem was it was at 1 a.m. this morning.  We rocked, he talked, I dozed.  Then he slid down from my lap (we're at 2 a.m. or so now) to go get milk from the fridge.  I asked if he was ready to go night night after a few sips - and he went straight to my bed and climbed in!  I'm tired today - I look it too, and I'm so glad it's Friday!

Peace of Mind

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving,
let your request be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
-Philippians 4:6,7-

There are many things happening in our lives at the moment.  Our prayers are for peace of mind and heart that God will see us through.  We know he will.  Those cliffs up there are in Mexico - they are stunning, I wish when I was there we'd have spent more time taking in their beauty and peace.  I'm taking a little mental getaway to that peace for now.

A few fall and Halloween photos!

We had so much fun with Halloween - and sadly the Turkey has fallen a little to the wayside with our Christmas preparations and schedules going into full swing on Black Friday!  Allan discovered the joy of all things candy (and this kid loves suckers, and chocolate!).  He was the cutest lion with a paci ever!  Daddy even carved him a Grave Digger pumpkin - he was so excited!

Time to Get Serious...

about blogging, about work, about exercise, about the holidays, about eating right (who am I kidding, after the holidays) and time to get serious about Imperfected Stitches and get my holiday projects turned out!  Time to make some changes. You'll see lots of blog changes in the next few weeks - hang on :)
