Let me tell ya 'bout my best friend...
Well, one of Sandy's best friends! We're watching her buddy Shamrock for the week and took them out for a little fishing trip yesterday. They had the most fun eating the bait, rolling in the sandy, swimming, and stepping on our feet!

The ride home, we all had to bundle up, even the dogs because of the chill in the air!
And bed time, they couldn't get to sleep fast enough!

Thankfully we caught a flounder, it was the perfect size for a dinner for two! We are so blessed to live in such a beautiful place!

Updates...
Well, we haven't slowed down as much as we'd like to yet, or much at all really! Here are the new french doors that Alan installed, he did the best job, I'm very lucky to have married such a handy guy!
And as it turns out, we've been married a year now! We're neither one sure where that year went either, but we had a great wedding anniversary and our cake top, though it looked a little ragged from being shoved in the back of the freezer for a year was awesome (thank you so very much Aunt Ellen)!
Here are a few shots of Sandy and Lilly in all their spoiled cuteness! Sandy has been fishing with Alan some and had a blast (one day I'll video her!).
I've also updated the look of the blog for Halloween, and I'll have a fall decorations post as soon as they are all up! I'm really excited to see the pumpkin patch arrive at the church this year (so if you live near us, make sure you get your pumpkins from First Presbyterian and help out our youth group!) and dress the yard up for fall! I've also moved our menus to the side and linked up to one of my favorite blogs (Hyper Homemaker) she does some really great stuff! I've also gotten back to reading a lot more so I've got my current book over to the side as well! Thanks to the ladies who I swap books with for this, we have the best time!
