Wow what a busy summer we've had! I can't tell you where time has gone, it seems just yesterday we were leaving for our first tournament of the year and now the season is half over.
The weekend of the 4th was great! We took Thursday off of work and went to Kure Beach to see my family. They truly have no idea how much I've missed all of them. If I could keep them here with me I would, with them comes some of the best memories of my Dad who I miss more and more each day. Of course we didn't have near enough time together! And while there is usually a busy kitchen and lots of running mouths when we get together, sitting on the beach and catching up was wonderful. The highlight of the trip was getting to meet Jonas, my nearly brand new cousin! Congratulations to Caron and Justin on both of your beautiful boys, they are wonderful and will hopefully both be first round baseball draft picks one day!
Erin and Jason came to visit us too! On Friday we took them to the Cape for a day of surfing, relaxing, and grilling some serious beach hot dogs! I'll get pictures downloaded from that visit soon!
We are off to Hatteras for the Hatteras Grand Slam Offshore Tournament, as always, I wish Alan the best of luck. He is very good at what he does, and I know one day it'll pay off in a tournament!
It was great to see everyone, we love you and miss you, and hope that we don't have to wait too long to see you again!
