Weekly Menu

We are grocery store junkies, and both love to eat (just look at us)! But with the economy crunch we've been saving tons of money on our food bill by menu planning every week. Lunches seem to work themselves out between a turkey sami and some leftovers. I think if I post our menus I'll be better about not repeating things unless they are our faves! Below is this week's menu:

Saturday - Hickory Cheesy BBQ Chicken w/ squash
Sunday - Wahoo Salad w/ cornbread
Monday - Baked Ziti w/ salads
Tuesday - Chicken Kabobs on rice
Wednesday - Leftover Ziti w/ salads
Thursday - 40 Garlic Clove Chicken w/ green beans
Friday - Velvetta Sausage Dip and Movie night!
Saturday - BBQ Chicken w/ squash and mac&cheese

Happy Cooking!

Book Review

Since my last book swap, I actually made time to read and read three books in addition to my monthly fix of Coastal Living and Everyday with Rachael Ray. The Memory Keepers Daughter was awesome, and I also read and liked Jodi Picolt's 19 Minutes. But the book that I enjoyed the most was Freakonomics, it was totally funny and a quick read. Seriously, check the list the book gives before naming your children and labeling yourself as uneducated and likely to be poor!

For those of you who didn't get the pictures, here is the link to our Mexico trip(s). Of course Alan was there for two long months, but I did get to visit and it was a ton of fun!

We'll Miss You Godiva

Well, some of you know by now, that we lost our sweet Diva-Kitty on April 8th. I miss her more than there are words to say, but I know now that she is in a better place! And yes, Diva (wherever you are), Sandy misses you too!
